Representatives of military units in Sacramento, Alameda and San Francisco, USCG Lake Tahoe station were in attendance with the opening and closing colors provided by the 9th Force Support Squadron Honor Guard from Beale AFB.
There were booths from all branches of service, with recruiters handing out materials about their branch of service, and of course giveaways. Many were doing fun things like pulling challenges, t-shirt cannons, and steering big military vehicles. The Coast Guard issued a ball/rope throwing challenge to get the ball into a flotation device. The Marine Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport had samples of the equipment they use, including rock climbing, ski mountaineering gear, pulka sleds and litters with a training dummy. Flyovers, music and food rounded out the action in downtown Grass Valley.
